Club Penguin Neck Item bug fixed And News.

Club Penguin had a neck item bug when you were any items from the June 2011 catalog you will be banned for 72 hours for hacking neck layer. I contracted CP and They told me that bug. SO Billybob made a new post at the CP blog. Heres what he said:

 Hello Penguins,

Some of you may have encountered a bug with some neck items today that resulted in your account being automatically banned for 72 hours. We apologize to those of you that were affected by this bug. 

The bug is now fixed, and the team has removed the bans from the accounts affected. 

We appreciate your patience with this.

I'm now happy because my friends are getting unbanned. So I told CP about hacking the shadow helmet and other items like the Emerald Viking Helmet and they replayed with a message:

Hello there, 
Thanks for writing in. 
We are aware that the release of our Penguin Style Catalog on Monday June 06, 2011, there was a bug with some items that caused players to be incorrectly banned for 72 hours. We were able to correct this bug within a few hours following the release of the new catalog and all affected accounts have been reinstated.

Now, as for the Shadow Helmet. If a penguin is cheating and getting items that they shouldn't, then they will run the risk of receiving a forever ban. This is mentioned in the fourth and final rule of Club Penguin: 


#4 No cheating - Any use of third party programs to cheat is not allowed. Players who use any third party programs while playing risk being permanently banned. 


Even so, what do you think of the Shadow Helmet? Have any thoughts about this item? It will actually be making it's way to the island soon. 
Also, about your third question. The reason why a penguin isn't able to receive the special code in Toronto is simply because there isn't a Club Penguin office located there. Though, that doesn't mean that no special events might be held there. 


The main reason why a player gets to receive one of the special code for the emerald viking helmet is just as Nathan said: 


We wanted to give something special to penguins that we get to meet face-to-face." 
That's just it, meeting one of the Club Penguin staff members is a unique opportunity and we simply wanted to give penguins a unique item when and if they meed one of the staff members of Club Penguin!
